The Situation

Bronson Health is one of the largest healthcare systems in Michigan. With over 1000 doctors and hundreds of various locations, they provide care and support to many communities in the southwest region of Michigan. So how does a large healthcare company engage with their community, patients and staff alike? Bronson has stood behind the phrase Bronson Positivity for many years and embraces it in everything they do. So in order to connect better with the community, they wanted to invite people to share their stories of positivity. All of this needed to connect back to the services and offerings of the Bronson as well.

My Role

• Defined the audiences that would use this, why they would use it, and where they might use it.
• Determined the different story types.
• Built out user flows for different audiences and a sitemap based on those needs.
• Created the tagging criteria and taxonomy for stories so they would link to the appropriate services and locations.
• Designed wireframes and helped influence the visual design.
• Assisted in QA of the developed site.

The Solution

They asked us to create a new site to allow people, whether patients, family members or staff, to submit stories of Bronson positivity. We knew it needed to be simple, easy to use across multiple devices, since many people within the various Bronson facilities would be using a number of different devices.
