Cox Communications
The Situation
Cox Communications, one of the top telecommunications providers with retail locations all around the country needed to increase their cable subscriptions and engage better with customers in a retail space that tends to be synonymous with long waits, bill pay problems, hardware returns and other troubleshooting issues. With little in the way of interactive and engaging experiences, and diminishing cable sales within the stores, I was tasked with creating a sales tool that not only engaged customers quickly and easily, but also provided insights and value to the sales team members.
My Role
- Researched all of the TV packages and established commonalities and contingencies among the packages
- Designed the steps a customer would take to find the right package
- Created user flows that outlined every possible combination of inputs and results
- Designed wireframes that outlined every screen and option a user would interact with
- Conducted usability tests and collected user feedback through prototyping
- Wrote the copy for the entire experience
The Solution
A simple, straight-forward tablet tool that allows users to focus on picking the channels they want, while also making relevant suggestions based on their interests.
