The Situation

Focused on the performance athlete, Glukos is a line of drink and food products that are made with glucose, the main energy source the body can use. It absorbs faster than other sugars and the energy spike lasts longer than other sugars, with no adverse effects. 

In the billion-dollar-a-year energy and performance fuel market, how do you stand out? Better yet, how do you launch an entirely new product in the category? Glukos Energy needed a go-to-market eCommerce site to support and grow their new business and stand out in a sea of supplements and energy drinks. 

My Role

• Facilitated working sessions with the client to gain understanding on the product, the market and audience.

• Created a sitemap based on several working sessions.

• Created wireframes and functionality requirements for the website.

• Created content outlines and content strategy for each page of the site.

• Helped in the creation of assets and pages within the CMS.

The Solution

Education was the biggest hurdle we needed to get over in terms of audience acceptance. With so much information and misinformation about sugars, energy and performance health, there was a lot that needed to be communicated in a clear, simple and quick way. Additionally, online sales was a key component driving the business and needed to be a focal point of the site as well.

With an eCommerce and front-end CMS, we were able to build a site that met the needs of the business, while also educating the audience and driving sales.
